Run and Finish

Part 1 and 3 are for All distances
Part 2 is for the Standard Distance only

Part 1
Having racked your bike, or changed from your kayak gear, head to the run-out gate
Go between the buildings and when you reach the riverbank turn left.
Just before the bank starts to elevate you will be turned left through a cordoned off section of the carpark.
Reaching the otherside of the carpark, go up the small section of grass and turn right onto the path
Follow the path round to the right and head towards Brigg town centre.e that it is safe to cross.
Go straight across and the roundabout.
Go straight passed the Petrol station.
You will have been running parallel to the road. As the road starts to bend to the left you need to follow the path straight on.
As you come towards the bridge you need to cross to the middle and go over it.
Just after the ridge on the lefthand side you will see a set of steps. These are wide but be careful not to trip or fall.
You are now on the towpath which fallows the river.
Keep to the wider path and follow the river. You should never be more than 10mtrs away from the water.
The path will go under the road bridge. It will then continue straight.
It will take you to a small chicane and under the Motorway bridge.
Continue to follow the path and the river.
You will then come to the Sprint distance turn

When you reach that bridge it will be your turn point.
Turn here and retrace your steps back to the 5K turn point
Part 3

Turn left down the small slope into the carpark.
Turn right and head along the bank.
The finish line will be to the righthand side in front of the gym windows.
⚠️ Heads up, runners!
This leg is a bit of a mixed bag — you’ll be tackling different surfaces along the way.
🚦 Road crossings & petrol station alert: Keep your wits about you and eyes open when crossing roads or passing the petrol station.
👟 Sharing is caring: The paths and towpath are open to the public, so expect dog walkers, cyclists, and Sunday strollers. Smile, wave, and weave safely!
Now onto the Finish!
As you head along the bank towards the finish line, some athletes may just be setting out on their run. Please take time just to encourage them.
You will be given your goodie bag at the finish line
REFRESHMENTS
It is every athlete’s responsibility to ensure that they stay hydrated throughout the race.
Should conditions require it we will endeavour to have a water station at the turn point on the run of the Standard distance course only. There will be water at the finish

🙌 Marshals = Heroes!
Our marshals give up their time freely to keep you safe out there. They’re the reason the race runs smoothly, so please treat them with respect. A smile, a wave, or a heartfelt “thank you” goes a long way — without them, there simply wouldn’t be a race.
💡 Shout‑out to our sponsor, Keyo!
Their support helps us keep these events fantastic value for everyone. We couldn’t do it without them.
