Cycle Information
On this page you will find the cycle route information
split into three parts.
Part 1 and 3 is for all both sprint and standard distances
Part 2 is for standard distance only
All competitors start by and end using the same route
The standard distance competitors will continue on at the
course split point.

Part 1
- All competitors will start by and end using the same route:
- The standard distance athletes will continue straight on at the course split point.
- Having mounted your bike proceed along the leisure centre internal road towards the main road.
- On reaching the junction there will be a filter lane set however it is the rider’s responsibility to give way to traffic from the right.
- After 400mtrs go straight across at the mini roundabout by taking the first exit onto the B1206 heading towards Scawby / Hibalstow. It is the riders responsibility to give way to traffic turning from the right.
- Continue along this road.
- You will cross over a rail line. Should the lights flash and the barrier come down then you MUST stop. A marshal will be positioned at the crossing who will record how long you had been stopped for. This time plus an allowance for slowing and accelerating will be deducted from you overall time. The stop time will be from the second you have come to a stop and have placed one foot on the ground. Any rider seen “jumping the light” will be disqualified.
- Continue along into Hibalstow village. Stay on this road taking care on the “S” bends.
- Continue on to Redbourne village.
- Having gone through the village you will come to another mini roundabout.
- For the Standard distance you will take the first exit towards Waddingham.
Part 2
- Please note this for standard distance only – do not follow this if you are doing the Sprint
- Having taken the exit off the roundabout continue along this road into Waddingham.
- Ignoring the first right turn continue 50m further along where you will come to a lefthand bend.
- At this bend you will be taking the turning to the right. Caution must be taken here. You must give way to oncoming traffic. Ensure you have clear line of site before turning.
- Continue along this road now heading towards Snitterby.
- Having travel through Snitterby you will come to a crossroads (at the far end of the village).
- Turn left on to Moors lane. A marshal will be positioned here to take your number. This ensures that everyone completes the required distance.
- Stay on Moors lane right to the far end when you will reach a T junction.
- Turn left, taking care as you will be joining the main road and must give way to traffic from the right.
- Continue on this road until you reach a T junction. Again, you will be turning left (back towards Waddingham) so you are required to give way to traffic from the right.
- Coming into Waddingham go right around the sharp bend. You will now have rejoined the outbound route. Follow the route back to the roundabout in Redbourne .
Part 3
- As this an out and back you will now follow the same route back to the leisure centre.
- When reaching the roundabout in Scawby Brook you must give way to traffic coming out of Brigg and turning right.
- As you get level with the leisure centre you must NOT turn right into it. Instead carry straight on over the bridge.
- On the bridge position yourself in the road in preparation to take the fourth exit (180 degrees). You MUST indicate your intention to turn.
- Having made the turn head back over the bridge and turn left onto the internal road of the leisure centre. Cyclist will be just heading out so ensure you stay on the left of the road. Any rider seen crossing the white line may receive a time penalty or be disqualified.
- Dismount your bike before the line.
- Go into transition through the IN gate.
We don’t want to see this!

Drafting? Nope, not here. We run a zero‑tolerance policy — if a marshal spots you wheel‑hugging, you’re out. Simple as that. Remember: drafting isn’t clever, it’s just plain cheating.
Thank you
When you are back in from the bike after remembering to dismount before the dismount line please head back into the IN Gate in transition to mount your bike and go out on the run or into Kayak mode!
