Youth section takes a leap forward with new bikes

Earlier this week LincsQuad purchased five new bikes for our Youth Section from JC Cook Cycles Ltd

So why have we needed to buy some new bikes?

We looked at what the average age of youth members that we have attending our sessions and the size of bikes that we had in stock. It soon became apparent that we had gap that needed bridging to deliver the best possible coaching within our cycling section.

Therefore, to go with the variety of Mountain Bikes (MTB), Cyclo-cross (CX) and Track Bikes the club can offer, we are thrilled to announce that now have welcomed the following to our extensive pack!

  • 2 x 24” Frog Mountain Bikes (suitable for age 9-11 approximately)
  • 1 x 24” Frog Track Bike (suitable for age 9-11 approximately)
  • 2 x 26” Frog Cyclo-cross Bike (suitable for age 11-14 approximately)

Why Frog Bikes?

Our Cycling Coaches, who are all British Cycling qualified, searched the market for bikes which they felt would be the most suitable for our club and most importantly our members.

From this the decision was made to purchase Frog Bikes. Frog Bikes are specialists in children’s bikes who offer a light bit strong aluminium frame. Their crank design makes it easier to pedal, has a special design to allow youths to push more directly down when cycling so that they can convert more of their energy into motion

We approached J C Cook Cycles Ltd based in Scunthorpe who were able to support us further with their expertise of Frog Bikes facilitating it so we could purchase locally. J C Cook Cycles Ltd can be found at 1 Holyrood Drive, Skippingdale Industrial Estate, DN15 8NN and has access to provide customers with multi brands of bikes.

If you go to visit J C Cook with a current LincsQuad membership card you can receive 10% off your service!
